Snapsonic brings unique communications to the construction industry, powered by Microsoft’s newly minted Azure Communication Services
It’s time to take the wraps off, Snapsonic has been working behind the scenes with Microsoft stakeholders for months leading up to today’s launch of Azure Communication Services. Snapsonic designs and builds communications applications and services, recently the company has been integrating Microsoft Teams communications into existing company workflows. Snapsonic is using Azure Communication Services to enable unique communications features and services for one of its marquee customers, a leader in the construction industry.

Microsoft has launched Azure Communication Services with Voice, Video and Messaging to be leveraged programmatically. These types of platforms are affectionately known as a CPaaS, or a Communication Platform as a Service. A CPaaS enables developers to integrate communications features into their applications and services. Some of the more well-known competitors in this sector include Twilio, Nexmo, SignalWire and there are several others.
“We knew as soon as we were asked to participate in the TAP (Technology Adoption Program) program for this new stealth project that Azure Communication Services was going to be something special. We had a specific customer that wanted to add some innovative communications features to their construction offerings, we saw ACS as a perfect fit.”
Snapsonic is in a unique position to understand the intricacies of a CPaaS and the power these platforms can extend to developers. Snapsonic’s founder was the former VP of Product for one such CPaaS, before ending his contract earlier in the year to focus on Snapsonic.
